At Gebroeders Ligthart Carrosserie en Tankbouw B.V. and Mekos Schagerbrug B.V., we are looking for a Production Manager who can maintain an overview, lead the team, and ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

About Us

We are two sister companies with a shared passion for technology and craftsmanship.

Gebr. Ligthart Carrosserie en Tankbouw B.V. designs and manufactures specialized road transport equipment, such as trailers, semi-trailers, vehicle bodies, mobile facilities, and recovery vehicles.

Mekos Schagerbrug B.V. specializes in mechanical engineering, metal fabrication, sheet metal work, and earthmoving and grading equipment.

Your role

As Production Manager, you will lead a team of approximately fifteen skilled professionals in our workshop on a daily basis. You will ensure optimal production planning, effective work preparation, and the precise execution of projects. You will monitor the progress and quality of the work and create a safe, structured, and efficient work environment.

What are you going to do?

• Leading, coaching, and developing yourself and your team in the workshop
• Coordinating and planning daily operations and ongoing projects
• Monitoring progress, quality, safety, and costs
• Identifying bottlenecks and initiating improvements in processes and work methods
• Serving as the point of contact for management, purchasing, sales, engineering, and customers
• Actively contributing to the further professionalization of our production organization

Who you are

A pragmatic and unifying leader with technical insight, who maintains a broad perspective and knows how to empower people. You can switch seamlessly between day-to-day operations and strategic priorities, and make decisions based on facts, intuition, and professional expertise.

You have:

  • A completed MBO-4 degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, supplemented by an HBO-level of work and thinking
  • Several years of experience in a managerial role
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • A proactive, critical, and results-oriented approach
  • Experience as a mentor or a willingness to actively develop professional skills within the team

What we offer you:

A competitive salary: Between €3,400 and €4,800 gross per month, depending on your skills and experience.

Securityfor the future: You’ll start with a one-year contract, with the prospect of a permanent position if your performance is satisfactory.

Plenty of time off: We believe a healthy work-life balance is important. That’s why, as a full-time employee, you’ll receive 37 days off per year (25 vacation days + 12 compensatory days).

Travel allowance: You’ll receive €0.23 per kilometer, so your travel expenses are fully reimbursed.
